Don't Panic! How to Remove Red Wine Stains from Your Carpet?
Jan 6 2023 | By: Hernandez Carpet Cleaning
You and your friends are having a great time together, laughing and chatting. But then, in the blink of an eye, disaster strikes. You accidentally bump into one another and red wine spills all over your beautiful carpet. You may laugh it up now with friends, but you see that dreadful red wine stain carpet the next day. Uuff. How do you get rid of it?
Before You Add Anything to the Carpet, Remember
As soon as the spill occurs, blot it with paper towels to absorb as much of the liquid as you can and stop the stain from settling. Red wine is particularly prone to stain.
What You Need
One of my favorite methods to remove red wine from carpet using home remedies is using Dish Soap and Vinegar!
How You Do It
Step 1: Use a rag, cloth, or paper towel to blot the stain. We recommend using a rag. It will make your life easier.
Step 2: Combine two cups of water with a tablespoon each of white vinegar and dishwashing soap.
Step 3. Stir
Step 4: Apply a tiny amount of the solution to the stain.
Step 5: Blot with a cloth/rag regularly until the stain is removed.
A Tip from a Carpet Cleaner:
Add carpet protector to your carpet cleanings, this prevents stains from setting (when you blot immediately, of course) and makes it a lot easier to clean up.
